Why we built it
Material calculators often present a confident number without explaining what was included. That is frustrating when a paint can has different coverage, a pallet contains a different area, or a supplier uses a different density. iNuggets keeps those decisions visible and editable.
Our goal is not to replace a contractor, engineer, product manual, or local building official. It is to make the first planning conversation easier: how large is the project, which inputs matter, what does the formula do, and which details still need verification?
A name twenty years in the making
The iNuggets.com domain was held for roughly two decades before becoming this project. The name now has a fitting purpose: each calculator is meant to deliver a compact nugget of practical knowledge, followed by enough explanation to make the result understandable and useful.
We are building iNuggets as a durable reference library rather than a collection of disposable keyword pages. The public calculator set is deliberately focused, and each tool is supported by visible assumptions and Product Lab cases that can be reproduced from published data.
Our editorial approach
Every calculator combines a working calculation with plain-language scope, formula notes, buying considerations, and project-specific questions. Product Lab reports publish stable case identifiers, test inputs, expected arithmetic, actual outputs, variance, limitations, and downloadable CSV data.
Software and generative AI can assist with research organization, drafting, code, and editorial illustration. Generated images are labeled and are never presented as field-test photographs. When a manufacturer, code, site condition, or professional design should control, the page says so.

A “Last updated” date records a substantive page change; it is not a claim of professional certification or independent third-party review.
What we do not collect
The calculators run in your browser. The measurements you enter are not sent to us, saved to an account, or used to create a personal project profile. You can use every tool without registering.
